Our website revamp was a massive undertaking, requiring a fully custom build to accommodate our extensive range of hire products, services, and events. We had an incredibly detailed vision, with a huge number of requests and highly specific requirements, and Studio Veld met every challenge with patience and expertise. Their ability to bring our ideas to life while ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience was outstanding. The result is a site that truly reflects the scale and sophistication of White Marquee, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
- White Marquee
To build a brand new website in Craft with custom product search and display, and a streamlined browsing, searching and quoting experience. The website needed to showcase thousands of products with clear logic, as well as future proof integration with business systems. Importantly, due to the high volume and rotation of products, it would need to be self managed by White Marquee staff. With the function taken care of, the client made it clear that they are an industry leader and wanted a website that reflects this. It needed to be a place that would inspire clients to partner with White Marquee to create extraordinary events.
Very early on in the brief we realised that a custom build in Craft 5 was the best way to achieve the client’s curated product search, streamlined quoting and creative inspiration needs. Categorisation and filtering functionality together with extensive project gallery creation would require considerable attention. We would also need to develop a clear direction for brand extension, agreement on colours, fonts, logo application and development of simple guidelines.
This was a complex build and after wireframing, UI and UX design, the scope changed in consultation with the client to ensure they received the premium website they needed. Best practice UX informed a smooth registration process for people wanting to obtain quotes, and staff managing backend response times. Video creation/animation and content development included editing and uploading 600+ images, ensuring the best possible image quality and load times. Onsite SEO was included, along with 2 weeks post-launch free support while White Marquee staff settled in after their tailored training (especially given it was peak event season).
We simplified the furniture selection process by gathering all product variations into a single item, displaying cases of 15 images in 1 view.
Goal: to provide a dynamic, time-saving user experience with all options within less space.
In a world of possibilities, we created a function for customers to browse different colour combinations for each item while staying on the same page.
Goal: to reduce barriers to the on screen curation and styling process through UX simplification.
Built a customised gallery using pins to highlight the various products featuring in each gallery image.
Goal: to inspire creative curation at a glance and quickly direct customers to the products they love.
