Words from the client

Lauren is an absolute website wizard. She has all the skills and clear-thinking needed to take a complicated brief and wishlist of ideas and turn it into a beautiful, functional, informative piece of art.

The entire team at Studio Veld are an absolute pleasure to work with.

Brief

The final of three websites for Taryn Brumfitt and team, sits inside a larger web design and branding implementation story where we needed to differentiate three strong brands - Taryn Brumfitt, The Embrace Kids Hub and Body Image Movement - while keeping them all in the same branding family.

The BIM team asked us to create a new website to showcase brand repositioning, and weave advocacy and resources into a storytelling home that will inspire people all over the world to embrace their bodies. It needed to be built in Wordpress, be robust, easy for the team to update and super Google friendly. Conversion of both B2C and B2B audiences across various offerings was and will continue to be important as Taryn promotes membership and training offerings.

Approach

This is a story about project management and collaboration. There were many moving parts and developing goals. We started by prioritising the actions that would help clarify the next step. The first was an exploration of the BIM digital brand application inside a family of three similar brands. Once agreed, we were clear for UX design to develop a functional approach to support storytelling. We identified user journeys that would drive users (people) to engage with everyday stories and submit their own. Understanding the inevitable and exponential growth in story collection we developed a custom platform making every design and functional decision about minimising staff burden. Simplicity and flexibility were the mantras.

Within the user journeys was a drive towards the three program landing pages built ready for Taryn Brumfitt to launch along with the new website. Studio Veld took the lead role in project managing and staging the input and content from a number of writers. The website was handed over with a training session for Embrace Collective staff giving them the power to comfortably manage their exciting new asset.
